Flamingo poem

Looks pink with a long neck
Smells like salty water and fish        
Sounds like chirping birds
Feels like smooth skin with bright pink feathers on its body
It eats fish and bugs

Our Amazing Trip to Auckland Zoo!

OMG! We are here at the Zoo!  Here we are getting shown around by the awesome guides - Richard told us about some stories about some of the birds in NZ.  He said Shiny Cuckoos may be arriving in about 3 weeks from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.  He also told us about the native birds - kakariki and kaka.

One of the groups is having fun on the concrete elephant outside the elephant enclosure.

One of the spectacular animals at the zoo was the lions.  "Roar" went the lions.  Taylah said 'What on earth is that?!'

Our amazing zoo trip came to an end.  It was cool, but almost everyone was tired from walking around the fantastic zoo!
