The school bell rang at 8:50 and I could see everyone in mufti... apart from a few people. We looked at our whiteboard and figured out what group we were in, there were 4 groups, group A, B, C and D, I was in group C. All 4 groups started by playing octopus as if we were all in 1 group. We had 2 games of octopus and the first game about 6 taggers and the second game had about 8 taggers! After that, we had 4 activities, all the groups rotated. For lunch we had 2 free sausages and 1 free drink. After lunch, we continued with our other 2 activities. We all had so much fun and everything was free. I really enjoyed it!
You have told us what happened - but there isn't a lot of detail. Try to add more so we can actually 'see' you there. What did you like the most? Mrs Simpson

D.A. (The) Burning Mud Pie!
D.A. Burning Mud Pie!
This procedure is easy to make and is only made for display. Please never try to create this!
Ingredients/Materials
-3 Fish eyeballs-1 110cm eel
-1 Medium-sized slug
-2 Handball sized furballs
-200 Grams of snow
-2 Jellyfish
-1 Drop of lava
-150 Grams of worm guts
-500 Millilitres of expired milk
-750 Grams of mud
First, start by making the shape of a circular pie with the 750 grams of mud. Let it dry in the hot sun for 30 minutes. While it's drying, pour all the expired milk into a big bowl, then drop 100 millilitres of pen ink in with the milk. Mix very well. Drop the lava and snow into the mix, let it spread. Let the mix cool off for 10 minutes. Once it's cooled, put both jellyfish in the bowl. Grab all the eyeballs and squish them one by one above the bowl so that all the insides fall into the bowl. Take all the worm guts and sprinkle it into the bowl. Pour all the other 100 millilitres of pen ink into the mix. Place the furballs next to each other on top of the mix. Then lay the slug on top of the furballs. Twist and turn the eel so that it circles the slug. Finally Pour everything into the dry, solid mud!
Your masterpiece is complete! Don't enjoy!

Wow! That sounds disgusting... Your procedure is in order with great verbs telling us what to do. Well done. Mrs Simpson

Cricket in the hall!
Ian, who I like to call the professional cricket player, taught most of us how to play cricket! First we learnt how to catch the ball, sounds easy right? No, it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life! Just kidding! Then we played actual cricket, the opposing team started to bat, then we batted, and so on and so forth. In the end, the opposite tem won by a hair. Most people found out that in the end, it doesn't even matter, it's all about fun.

The amazing zoo!
our souls... just kidding! After lunch we saw the zoo specialists play with the tigers, another "ROAR!" Oh my! A lemur tunnel, maybe we should go down it! Ahhhh! a lemur jumped onto the glass on top of my face! We saw what seemed to be a "fake" crocodile! Wow! What a trip!!
Teacher comment: Great recount of what happened at the zoo! Maybe you could think of a couple of sentences to end/round up your paragraph.

Up up... and possibly down!
"Alright, grab your objects that you ordered from this box!" Commanded Mrs Simpson. Anthony Rawlinson, Mitchell and Namar decided to join me as I played with my pitch black frisbee. The game was a little bit like soccer because there were goals, defenders, and throwers. "The rules are: You cannot throw too high, you take turns throwing and you try to get the frisbee that you threw past the opponent's goal without letting it touch the ground" I explained. Meanwhile on the field, Anthony Wen flew the highest kite! Jayden played happily with his dart that's like a vertical slingshot, all you need to do is load the dart, let go and relax as you watch it fly a million miles into the clouds, I'm not sure who's went further, Anthony Wen's kite, or Jayden's dart. I think everyone including me had a wonderful time outside! Wait a minute... where's Jayden's dart!?

Snakes Slide Show
Here is a slideshow made by Jaxon, Daniel, Danika, Jayden, Anthony and Jasmine.
They read a book about snakes and have shown you some interesting facts they learnt.
This was their first time using the Educreations App on the iPad so there are a few things to improve on - next time will be even better!

Wolves Senses Poem!
Wolves
Smells like dried animal blood
Looks like a dangerous, hungry, thin dog
Feels like spiky, gelled hair
Sounds like a loud robbery siren
Tastes like animals blood when it's eating

Room 4's Leprechauns and Limericks!
On the 3rd of April 2014, Daniel made an awesome slideshow about room 4's amazing items, leprechauns and limericks! The slideshow/powerpoint went in a pattern, leprechaun, limerick, leprechaun and so on. Let me tell you my limerick...
"There once was a boy named Samuel,
Who is really, really, quite cool,
He knows all about the computer,
And is a truly awesome gamer,
Oh! His name is really Daniel"
There were about 7 limericks and 7 leprechauns so it was quite even. Some students didn't even want to say anything and my guess is that they were shy.
Thanks for looking!

Daniel's COMPUTER AND LAPTOP poster!
This is my poster about my favourite thing and the thing I'm an expert at... COMPUTERS and LAPTOPS! The black things you can see there are wires or labels, that picture is my exact laptop, let me tell you some facts. The smallest laptop, open, is about the size of an iPad mini, if not, it's even smaller! The most commonly used windows are: Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Vista. The inside of a laptop or a computer is called the "hardware", the things you can download, or programmes are called the software. Computers and laptops can be used for: games, videos, programmes, communication. This is an estimation from the internet, but there are about 1,966,514,816 computers in the world. I hope you've learnt more about computers and laptops!

The good ol' days!
On Friday the 28th of March, the senior school went to the Howick Historical Village. First, room 4 went to the old classroom, unfortunately the old teacher got an injury, so a new teacher replaced her... for now. She looked at our nails, most of us were fine, but some people had nail polish, and the teacher called it "the virus infection". The teacher was SUPER strict! After that, we went to the court house, room 4 did a play on a true story that happened in that exact same house. Boy was it funny! We went to this huge building where we were kind of like pirates. ARRRRRR! We dug for some treasure but the boxes were quite small, so we got to use the end of a paint brush, I found about 6 things in total. Those were the fun activities my group (Daniel, Anthony, Jaxon, Jade, and that's all I can remember) got to participate in!

Daniel's story with COMPUTERS!!!
Chapter 1:
One day there was a boy named Daniel who went to school at 5 years old, that is also when he started wearing glasses, everybody laughed at him for quite a while. Then the teacher said "Everybody stop laughing please!" Then she said "Everybody will take turns on the computer!" Then Daniel thought to himself "What's a computer?!"
Chapter 2:
Daniel said to the teacher "Whats a computer?" Then she replied with something like "Technology, Mouse, Mouse, Games" Daniel still had completely no idea what a computer was. He asked everybody in his class what a computer was and the replies were basically "I dunno" he thought about it then obviously he forgot about it.
Chapter 3:
He had never thought about computers until year 3, three years later. After school, he looked for an online dictionary and surprisingly, he found one. Computer, computer, computer "Ahhhh, very interesting". So since his parents already had a computer, he went on it every day, and learnt more and more about computers until...
Chapter 4:
Year 5 has begun for Daniel, and he met... a huge fan of computers just like Daniel himself. His name was Eric, the perfect friend for Daniel! Then guess what? Daniel learnt alot more about computers and when he says "alot" he means "ALOT!" He then got a laptop of his own, the Windows 8 Sony and VIAO Red Laptop.
Chapter 5:
Year 6, finally, the first few weeks at Room 4 was amazing, everyone in my class (and a few other kids) already knew that Daniel was "THE" expert at computers, and this is who he is today.
