NEPTUNE IS NAMED AFTER THE ROMAN GOD OF THE SEA.

EXTREMELY WINDY!

POSEIDON IS THE GREEK NAME FOR THE  ROMAN GOD OF THE SEA.

TEMPLES WERE MADE IN HONOUR OF THE GODS INCLUDING NEPTUNE.

URANUS IS THE CLOSEST PLANET TO NEPTUNE.

NEPTUNE IS VERY COLD AND TEMPERATURES ARE -200C AND -392F.

EXTREMELY FAR AWAY FROM THE SUN!

Eleisha's acrosstic poem

Earth is the planet where we live

About ninety-three million miles from the sun

Rotates counterclockwise

Top of the earths crust are oceans and land

Has two hemispheres called the northern and southern hemisphere

My Mnemonic

Venus is named after the Roman god of beauty

Extremely hot, but not as hot as lava or lightning because Venus is 462 degrees and lava and lightning is 2000-3000 degrees.

Never will be cold.

Unlikely to live when you get into the atmosphere.

Second closest planet to the sun.

Neptune is the furthest away from the scorching hot sun!
Easy to freeze to death!
Planet Neptune's colour is a mix of dark blues.
This planets greek name is Poseidon.
Uranus is the closest planet to Neptune.
Neptune's coldest temperature went down to 350 degrees!
Epic that Neptune has rings you can't even see!

Bill's Zoo Blog

Yay! Its Monday, that means its the zoo trip!
First we went on the bus, it
took about 45 minutes to get to Auckland Zoo. When we arrived, we had to line up in our groups. The group I was in had Gus, Jayden, Danika, Chloe, Ms Parkins and myself. First we went to see the giraffes. Did you know that giraffes have two hearts! Wow! I didn't know that! Then we went to see the other animals such as the lion. It looked like they could easily jump over the wall and attack us. My favourite part at the zoo was the sea lions because it was the biggest sea animal we could get close up to.

I like your facts Bill!  Animals don't have capitals - unless it is their name you are using.  Mrs Simpson

Going to Auckland zoo by Eleisha

Today the seniors went to the zoo. When all the buses arrived we went in the zoo. When we got there we had Sue talk to us about what we have to do first (zoo keeper).  It was a cool  experience to go to Auckland zoo because I have only gone to the zoo a couple of times but that was ages ago! First my group had a photo, then we looked at the giraffes I was first with the camera. Some zebras were with the giraffes. The giraffes were as tall as the Sky tower.

Peer Assesment: nice recount! I like your story
it looks like you had a fun time but I would like to see a simile.
